Willard F. Beitzel of Lancaster went home at the age of 71 on Sunday, Aug. 16, 2015. Born in Meyersdale, PA, he was the son of the late Raymond and Verna Maust Beitzel.
He leaves behind: his wife, Elizabeth “Betty” Beitzel; two daughters, Michele wife of David Engroff, Roxanne wife of Terry Roth, both of Lancaster; three grandchildren, Amber, Alexus, Alexander; two great-grandchildren, Ayden Quinn, Dayshawn; brothers. Delmar husband of Thelma Beitzel, Friendsville, MD, Maynard husband of Lois Beitzel, Leola; a sister, Elda Beitzel, Grantsville, MD.
Mr. Beitzel was a U.S. Army veteran during the Vietnam War. He was a master mechanic; a wise father; a loving grandfather and wonderful husband. He enjoyed going for rides in his GMC truck, and spending time with his grandchildren. He made the best milkshakes ever. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
