William A. Greehy, 77, passed away at Lancashire Hall on Thursday, April 3, 2014.
He was born in New York City, raised in Malvern, Long Island, New York, the son of the late William and Edna Langer Greehy. He was the husband of the late Annette Greehy who passed in 1992.
He attended Sacred Heart Elementary School and graduated from Malvern High School. Bill lived most of his adult life in NYC, working in the mail room at ABC-TV and was a long-time member of various fan clubs including Maureen O’Hara, Kate Smith, Betty White and Pat Boone. Bill retired from life in the big city and moved to Faith Friendship Villa, Mountville in 2002. Writing letters, reading books and watching movies were some of his favorite things. He was a member of the Mountville Mennonite Church.
Surviving is a niece, JoAnn Williams of IL. He was predeceased by a sister, Alice Williams, brother-in-law, Fred Williams Jr. and a nephew, Fred Williams III. Several cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial service at Mountville Mennonite Church, 205 Froelich Ave., Mountville, PA on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at 2:00 p.m.
