7/17/2020

William E. Nagle Jr. passed into eternal rest with his Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, July 17, 2020 at Conestoga View Nursing Home, Lancaster, PA. Bill is survived by his sister Patricia Nagle, brother Jim Nagle, two sons Brian W Nagle and Scott E Nagle as well as 7 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by sister Sandra Cooper and parents, William and Virginia Nagle. William was a kind-hearted man who loved his family and country. Billy said, “lettuce eat” and scarfed down a homemade dinner in the blink of an eye, but each time left the lettuce on his plate. An avid train collector and connoisseur, he spent years perfecting his display to the delight of his grandchildren who begged him to “run the trains”. Antiques and coins were his gig. When we claimed, “You have too much,” he pleaded, “Inno-cent.” A faithful Armstrong employee and volunteer at the Pioneer Fire Co in Marietta, PA, Bill was well known and loved by all. The accident that changed his life proved his resiliency. He overcame the challenges of paraplegic life with patience and perseverance unto the end. Interment will be at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery, Lancaster, PA Tuesday, July 21 at 11 A.M. followed by a celebration service at New Path Community Church, 22 West Main St. Mount Joy, PA at Noon. Pastor Jay Frey will officiate.
