William “Pito" Gonzalez, Jr., 45, of Leola, formerly of Bronx, NY, entered into rest on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 surrounded by his family and friends. Born in Bronx, NY, he was the son of Julia Torres and the late William Gonzalez, Sr. He was the husband of Maribel Tara Lopez Gonzalez with whom he shared 29 years.
He was a welder for the former C & D Batteries, Leola. A member of Stumptown Mennonite Church, he faithfully served the youth as a teacher. Pito enjoyed playing video games and was an avid New York Giants fan. He loved spending time with his family, especially bowling together.
In addition to wife and mother, he will be lovingly missed by: 4 children, Gabrielle M. Gonzalez, Justin A. Gonzalez, Kaymen W. Gonzalez, Geovanni T. Lopez, all at home; a sister Erica Gonzalez, Bronx, NY; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held from the Stumptown Mennonite Church, 2813 Stumptown Rd., Bird-in-Hand, PA 17505 on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 12 noon with interment in the adjoining cemetery. Friends may call from 10 am to 12 pm at the church on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Stumptown Mennonite Church.
